So, what’s this podcast all about??

The Consciousness Explorers Podcast (CEP) is an experiential sandbox for mind and body hosted by Tasha Schumann and Jeff Warren. Each episode is a real-time adventure, where a different guide takes us through a short meditation or personal growth practice. (That means you’re coming too!)

Afterwards, we attempt to reassemble ourselves into coherent human beings, so we can discuss what the heck just happened.

Meditation, movement, art, dreaming, voice, breath, therapy, hypnosis, critical thinking – many techniques and modalities are explored. Guides run the gamut from professional teachers and researchers to freestyle healers, artists, and innovators working things out for themselves.

Why practice in a podcast?

Meditation and personal growth practices are exploding right now. There are more teachers and techniques than ever before. This podcast is where you get to take them for a ride. Not just by talking about them, but by actually doing the freakin’ practices!

These practices can take us to places we’ve never been, without needing to leave home. It’s fun budget travel that’s good for us. That’s because every practice is a unique window into our own peculiar nervous systems. Practice teaches us things about who we are, how to expand and grow and heal and change. By listening to Tasha and Jeff talk about what they found hard or helpful or interesting in a practice, listeners find inspiration and companionship for their own journeys.

Ultimately, the Consciousness Explorers Podcast is a way for people to connect to teachers, resources and practices that will support them in life. As we learn to become our own teachers and caregivers, we’re better able to care for others and attend to the world’s problems.

And have fun doing it?

Always! Here’s Tasha with the last word:

“It’s like this: You can talk about pizza all day long, but if you want to know how pizza really tastes, you gotta take a bite for yourself.”

So it's about pizza.

His mission is to empower people to care for their mental health, through the realistic, intelligent and sometimes irreverent exploration of meditation and personal growth practices.

He hosts his weekly free Do Nothing Project live on YouTube, meditating with people all over the world. He has appeared on Good Morning America, ABC’s Nightline, The Joe Rogan Experience, and other popular media outlets.

Known in the music world as Tasha the Amazon and in the meditation world as Lama Karma Jigme, she’s an artist and explorer of the mind. A teacher of contemplative practice, she’s authorized in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition and in contemporary modalities, which she illuminates for a whole new generation of western practitioners.

A Juno-nominated recording artist, she’s toured the mosh pits of the world. Her music’s been featured on shows like HBO’s Insecure, Comedy Central’s Broad City, VH1’s Love & Hip Hop and she’s been profiled in media like Billboard, New York Magazine’s The Cut, VICE, and many more.

She gets super excited about helping ppl explore the “WTF-IS-GOING-ON-HERE?!” of reality in whichever way she can – which includes mentoring artists and adventurers through her contemplative community, RARELING. 👽
